Getting ready for the Show
Ann receives her 'committee' badge from the Show Secretary
The members are arriving with their entries and the tables are filling up.
Everything is looking good for the Show.
Just a minute. Jean and Kerry have noticed something unpleasant on the floor.
The Chairman arrives on the scene to photograph the offending item.
'Hurry up you lot!
The time is getting on and I need a cup of coffee.'
'That's better'
All the entries are in place and Anne's coffee has arrived.
'Let's start over there, Alison'.
'I'm starving. I can't wait to try
this victoria sponge.'
'Go on, Ann. You try some.
How about you, Alison?'
Any chance of a slice, Dave?
'No! Go away, I'm busy.'
' Have a look at this, ladies'.
'This chutney is pretty good. Very tasty.
I could do with a bit more sponge now.'
Here we go then. The moment of truth.
Dave selects the winners.
'I've finished judging the home produce, Manny.'
'I'm going to the restaurant for a cuppa, see you later'
Come on Manny. You're supposed to be measuring the longest runner bean.
Stop that sniggering Daphne.
'Now Bob, can you write out 150 Show cards in half an hour, please?'
Nearly finished now. Just a couple more to Judge.
Hurry up, Bert. It's nearly time for the raffle.
Oh look, guess who Jeans found.
Go on Bruce, ring your bell for her, we know you want to.
Meanwhile, in the potting shed Bob is writing out the prize cards.
Bruce announced the start of the prize giving ceremony.
Prizes were presented by the Mayor of Yeovil, Phil Chandler who was accompanied by the Mayoress Linda Jones.
